Life’s Journey: SEEKING THE MANIFEST DESTINY OF MAN
For whoever asks, receives; whosoever seeks, finds; and to whosoever knocks it shall be opened unto him
MAIN THOUGHT
“Show me where a country is built without God, and I will show you where disaster comes without warning.” God is. God is all there is. Everything belongs to God. Everything returns to God. We belong to God, every single one of us. God dwells in us, all of us. That is why it is said that we are in the image of God. We are here to discover who we are, individually and collectively. The journey of life is for SELF discovery, “Man Know Thyself.”
LIFE IS A JOURNEY: ARE YOU HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?
Journey is the act of going from one place to the other. Journey is any course of passage or experience from one stage to another. We choose the way in which to go. There are only two ways, man’s way or God’s way. Which way are you journeying? Life’s journey is a course, a passage, an experience, and a stage, in which nothing is permanent or guaranteed. One day we are young, the next day we are old. One day we are healthy and the next we are sick and weak. As we journey on in this passage called life, our experiences, choices and actions determine our present circumstances and future conditions.
IS GOD YOUR TRAVEL COMPANION?
Show me where a person is journeying without God, and I will show you where disaster comes without warning. As long as you continue to live without God, you will have to live with plenty of disaster. Every traveler is on a road of SELF-DISCOVERY. “Man know thyself, Woman know thyself.” Know that you cannot live apart from God. All difficulties in life come from the way of God. This journey is a journey from self-centeredness to God Centeredness, which is what Christians calls salvation.
GOD’S WAY
The course we have to take is Christ’s Highway. The same as saying, you have to live a HOLY LIFE. The way to live the HOLY LIFE is the way of TRUTH. What is Holy? God is Holy. What is Truth? Christ is the Truth. No man comes to God except through Christ. Your life’s experiences will be Good, if you have the Holy Truth (CHRIST). Travel on Christ’s Highway: the High stands for Holy, and Christ is the Way. All scriptures, religions, sects and denominations are seeking the way to Christ. As St. Paul discovered, it is forever, “God through Our Lord Jesus Christ.” All the Beautiful names belong to Christ; Son of God, Allah, Buddha, Jehovah, I AM, Krishna, etc. All that is called in the name of the One and Only True God, is the same as Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the eternal God. Amen.
PROPHET JEREMIAH’S THOUGHT
Jeremiah the Prophet, is saying to everyone, return, return! Return to God. It does not matter what your sins are, or how long you have been away from God. Whether you are still committing them, or how many times you have changed your mind before. The Lord is declaring and Amnesty! Jeremiah says, “return, return, why would you perish?” If you miss the Amnesty, whom would you blame? RETURN, RETURN! If your excuse is, “I have never heard that there was an amnesty, hear it Now! (JEREMIAH 22:1-END).
Thus says the LORD: Go down to the house of the king of Judah (SELF CENTERED, SELF DIRECTED), and speak there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sits upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates. Thus says the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
HEAR THE WORD OF GOD
Do the right thing and be Honest. Your conscience knows what is right, if you have no conscience, you are dead. If you conscience is dead, re vive it be coming to Christ. Right conscience comes as we consider Others and God in every action. If you do not consider others and God in your decision and actions, you are Selfish. Remember “Cain and Abel”; we are our brothers’ keepers. Do not oppress other people. Remember that if you talk or think bad about others, you are an oppressor, a backbiter, and you shed innocent blood. Do no violence to other people or their properties. Do not shed innocent blood. Remember that, if you do the right things and follow God, that you will have prosperity and avoid disaster. If you want prosperity and good to come to you obey the word of God and do good to all others.
RETURN! RETURN!
Christ does not care how important you think you are, or how much money you contribute to the church, or how many times you attend mass. He wants you to RETURN AND DO GOOD. First, you have to return. Secondly, return and stay in the Lord. Thirdly, Return; Stay in the Lord, and do good. When you build without God, you will not know when disaster comes. There is only one way to travel if you want good, the way of the Lord. The reason disaster comes, is that you are directing yourself. “Show me where a person lives without God, and I will show you where disaster comes without warning.” You will not prosper, when you forsake God. If you do justice and righteousness, it will be well with you. Christ who is Just will justify you.
TO KNOW THE LORD
Do Justice, get Justification through Christ. Righteousness means: right thinking, right action, and right mindfulness. Christ judges the cause of the poor and needy, therefore, be kind and love all others. Do not seek for material things with violence (Husband and wife working 36 hours everyday, neglecting the children, just for material things). Do not depend upon the Arm of Man (don’t depend on your self-effort, or your network of friends). All the material things you are chasing will destroy you. All disaster that comes to you is the result of your ways. God knows your heart. If you do well and live well, you will receive good. “PEOPLE’S SUN DO GO DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.”
